Wonderful tutorial!
I wonder, isn't the magnetometer right hand rule, and gyro / accel left hand rule?? Hence the 'rotation' in the datasheet?
Dear Sparkfun,
Thank you very much for such overview information. It works perfectly. by the way, I am trying to combine multiple LSM9DS1 into one Raspberry Pi, may you help how to start with the Library.
Best wishes,
I see in the datasheet that it's needed the repeated start on th i2c, how is possible to use it on arduino DUE?

For more information about the DEN pin and how to use the pin in an application, try checking out this forum post from "Petr S@ST" at STMicroelectronics => [ https://my.st.com/public/STe2ecommunities/mems_sensors/Lists/iNEMOInertial%20Modules/Flat.aspx?RootFolder=https%3a%2f%2fmy%2est%2ecom%2fpublic%2fSTe2ecommunities%2fmems_sensors%2fLists%2fiNEMOInertial%20Modules%2fWhat%20does%20the%20DEN_AG%20pin%20on%20the%20LSM9DS1%20actually%20do&FolderCTID=0x01200200770978C69A1141439FE559EB459D75800086DD5DC1DB3D22448C420AF2FFF2FD9A¤tviews=401 ]
If possible, could you please add relevant information from that source to the guide and/or the product page? I was going to say "in case that the link dies" just as I realized that the link appears to already be kinda dead from my end :/
What is the angular drift and walk of the LSM9DS1 Breakout IMU?
It appears that the accelerometer and gyro have left-handed axes on this part. If X and Y were swapped, or the sign of one of the axes was swapped, it would be right-handed again.
Indeed. C'mon SparkFun, update your tutorial already.
Not only are the gyro and accelerometers decidedly left-handed (not sure why ST did this), but the magnetometer is right-handed (opposite x-axis from the accelerometer). Incidentally, you can change the gyro to right-handed readings, but not the accelerometer. (-1) will be your friend if you want to implement an AHRS...
