Hi,
The sensor is working great in my little circuit. However, when I try to use an external electrode connected to the PAD pin, the signal goes HIGH and stays HIGH regardless of the electrode being touched or not.
Do you have any idea why?
What are you using as your external electrode? Make sure that nothing is touching the PCB pad when you are testing.
Could I just as easily mount this to a panel with some hot glue?
Hot glue should work. I haven't personally tested it, but it should be able to sense touches through the hot glue.
