    Can the VCNL4040 be daisy chained so I can have say 5 of them in my project and only look for a reading on the active sensor?

    • It cannot as it only has one I2C address (0x60) I'd suggest using our Qwiic Mux https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14685

        Thanks for the quick reply. Thats discouraging, I was hoping to save on cables coming back to the main board.

          As a note, as described in the I2C tutorial and the Qwiic Mux hookup guide, you will find that you will still only need the Qwiic connection (aka the 4-wires) coming back to the microcontroller.
