Does anyone know if there is there a way to emulate the sensors as a software stream rather than actually stimulating the sensors. I want to simulate motion using a GPS simulator but also need the sensor data to be represented.

I have the accelerometer hooked up to my Arduino but when I upload the sketch, only "MMA8452Q Test Code!" shows up in the serial monitor. Any ideas why? It seems like the Arduino is not reading the accelerometer.

Does anyone have any tips for how to collect data from two different accelerometers on the same I2C? Do I need to use pullup resistors or is the specified 330 ohm setup ok for use with two sensors?

hey, I am trying to do the same thing. Did you figure it out?

Could I hook up this accelerometer to a Lilypad board?

I'm curious : how do we know that a 330 ohm resistor is enough for our sda and scl pin ?

I don't see any resistance value for the accelerometer on the datasheet, so how should we know ?

I keep getting an error when i try to upload

MMA8452Q does not name a type

I have the library fully installed just as the guide shows.

thats the error there. How can I get around this?

    • This is pretty common. What likely happened is that your libraries aren't nested quite right in the IDE. Check our tutorial here to ensure you have them installed properly.
