The wooden things with food on them that you show are cutting boards. Breadboards have holes or slots - the idea is that the crumbs fall through (and then the crumbs are used in lots of recipes). Breadboards are also used for kneading dough. You seem to be focused on the Crumb Catching Grate.
Thanks for this. I just got a new large breadboard with binding posts no I didn’t know what they were used for. Now I know! Now I just need to experiment and find out how to attach them to the board because they came unattached.
