So, if you don't really know what you're doing and are planning to do pretty much exactly what's in the guide or another Sarkfun project, great. If you want to do something a little different, I highly recommend getting a set of alligator clip wires to simulate your conductive thread wiring. I had to experiment with different configurations before I discovered what would work, and the alligator clip wires were vital for that. Cheap investment in success.
