SXSWedu Panel - Build, Create, and Hack: Bringing STE(A)M into K-12

The US is facing a crisis in its education system. Our standardized test-based approach is leaving new generations of American students at a disadvantage in a global economy that requires 21st century skills like innovation, curiosity and critical-thinking.

The emphasis on science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) and project-based learning (PBL) to close the gap has grown in success in several schools and school districts across the country. Meet our panel of educators and administrators that have developed successful STE(A)M programs at their respective schools.
