Modkit and Arduino (Drag and drop programming)

On October 2nd and 9th, 2012, SparkFun went to Centennial Elementary School in Firestone, Colorado. There we helped Sarah Bloms teach 4th and 5th graders how to program LilyPad microcontrollers using Modkit, a drag and drop programming environment. This was the first we had ever taught microcontroller technology (both input and output) to elementary school kids during school hours. These are the materials we used. Sarah Bloms took the handout and made a PowerPoint presentation which is exactly what we hope educators will do with our materials!
