Have you or your child had an interest in robotics and haven’t found a great place to start? Are you looking for something to do with your kids? Are you lost when it comes to motor controls, sensors and getting a robot to do your bidding? Learn the basics of robotics together using our simple and straightforward robotics platform. The day uses a combination of our easy to use controller board, the RedBot main board, with the durable and easy to assemble Dagu Multi-Chassis Kit (ROB-12089). We’ll use these components to build your own personal robot to explore the basics: movement, object detection, line following amongst other topics . We will use Arduino and the RedBot Code Library to program your robot to drive, spin, detect and avoid objects,in addition to knowing when something bumps into it. The day will be spent building and programming robots to complete a set of challenges that you can recreate at home. By the end of the day you will feel comfortable enough to program your robot on your own at home and maybe with time and patience end up with a robotic butler. Some experience in Arduino or Processing is encouraged but not required.
